The first girl to win a Kansas Relays title in Rock Creek history also is the first Mustang girl to become a Division I athlete.  Lizz Herrs signed her national letter-of-intent with the University of Oklahoma on Wednesday to throw the javelin.  Herrs won the Kansas Relays last season with a toss of nearly 143 feet, and also took the 3A state title with a throw of over 147 feet.

Herrs signed with the Sooners in a ceremony at Rock Creek, with her family and coaches present.
