A total of seven ceremonies will be held in Bramlage Coliseum between Friday December 11th and Saturday December 12th, with an 8th taking place at the colleges newly named Polytechnic campus – honoring technology and aviation graduates. MANHATTAN — Officers with the Riley County Police Department arrested Joshua Foster, 22, of Manhattan while at the Riley County Police Department on December 1, 2015 at approximately 9:30 PM. Foster was arrested on a warrant for probation violation (original offense listed as distribution of marijuana, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and violation of a protective order) and given “no bond.” Foster was confined at the time of this report. The Wamego Chamber of Commerce updated the City Commission on recent events at Tuesday’s meeting. City Manager Merl Page talked about the partnership formed with the Chamber of Commerce and the Convention and Visitors Bureau earlier this year. KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) A coroner says human remains found at a Kansas barn are those of a juvenile, but tests to determine whether they belong to a missing 7-year-old boy will take weeks. Police found the remains after investigating a domestic disturbance at the home of the boy’s father, when they were notified the boy was missing. Michael A. Jones has been charged with child abuse, aggravated battery and aggravated assault with a firearm. KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) Police say shots were fired during a pursuit that ended with the suspects’ vehicle crashing into a tractor-trailer in Kansas City, Kansas. KCTV-TV reports that the pursuit started Tuesday in Kansas City, Missouri, after undercover officers spotted four people running behind a house while patrolling in the area. Sgt. Kevin Kilkenny says police began following their vehicle because they were suspected of committing a burglary. Police say no officers were wounded when shots were fired from the suspects’ vehicle. With two items on the general agenda, commissioners heard the first reading of an ordinance that would allow for the construction of a new pylon sign at the entrance to the Stonecreek Commercial Business Development.
