The K-State track and field continues to have a very busy offseason as members of the squad competed over the weekend at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Current volunteer assistant coaches Erik Kynard and Amanda Bingson highlighted the weekend for the K-State nation. Kynard went on the win his third career USA high jump title. He was the only athlete to clear the bar at 2.35 meters. He’s now won the high jump title in three straight National Championship meets dating back to last June. On Saturday at Rock Creek High School Republican candidates gathered to meet with the community, and outline their positions before the primary run off in August. Pottawatomie County Republican Women sponsored the event, and organization president Rosemary Loucks said it was important for voters and candidates to meet face to face. Loucks said it is imperative that voters know where the candidates stand on the issues to make a more informed decision in the upcoming elections.
