FORT RILEY, Kan. – Fort Riley will delay reporting times for several employees in the wake of the latest winter storm. Work call for all uniformed military personnel is 9 a.m. and physical training schedules are at the discretion of each unit. Soldiers should contact leadership with any questions.   Civilians will report to work on a 2-hour delay, however Irwin Army Community Hospital staff will report for normal work call hours. The official 24 hour snow total was reported as 11.2 inches, according to Climatologist at Kansas State University, Mary Knapp. This places the daily snow total at number five on the list of largest snow falls in Manhattan.  Number one on that list occurred on February 27th, 1900 when 18 inches of snow fell. That means this is one of the largest snow falls in 90 years in Manhattan.  When adding the additional few inches we received before 7 a.m. Tuesday morning, this makes the snow storm one of the biggest in a century. The tradition continues as another Manhattan High football player is a part of K-State’s class as Winston Dimel has signed with K-State on Wednesday. The three star prospect will be a fullback for the Cats. As we reported last week on KMAN, fellow Indian senior Darian Taylor will sign on Wednesday with Pittsburg State. A pair of Wamego football players will sign with Highland Community College, Logan Stoddard and Trenton York. A Wamego man was taken to a Topeka hospital following a two vehicle accident on I-70 KMAN first told you about late Tuesday morning.   Robert Rickstrew, 58, was taken to Stormont Vail following that accident on eastbound I-70 at milemarker 322, just west of Tallgrass Road.   The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Rickstrew was driving a 2001 Starling truck eastbound, plowing snow, with a 2001 Kenworth semi also eastbound. The semi, driven by Glenn Rudolph, 67, of Indiana, made a lane change to avoid a vehicle and struck the back of Rickstrew’s vehicle. Rudolph was taken to Mercy Regional Health…
