Business leaders from across the region are convening Friday in Manhattan for the annual Flint Hills Regional Leaders Retreat. The retreat was for years held in Kansas City, but since the COVID-19 pandemic, has shifted to a single day event hosted at the Manhattan Conference Center. The American Red Cross is experiencing a blood shortage nationally that might delay life-saving procedures. According to the Red Cross, the US is seeing the fewest amount of people donate blood in twenty years.
