It is still very early in the day, but Riley County Clerk Rich Vargo says the early turn out is a bit lower than previous showings. According to Vargo early reports in from polling stations put voter turn out around 3%.
However, Vargo states advanced voting numbers were up, and there is still a lot of time to make it into the polling stations. Polls close at 7 p.m., and full coverage of the primary results will be available here on 1350 KMAN.
Vargo says his staff started the process this morning at 5:30 a.m.
