K-State Finishes Homestand with Wichita State


Fresh off a perfect five game stretch last week, Kansas State looks to continue its winning ways in a contest tonight against Wichita State who comes into the game with a record of 18-15 on the year.

K-State will start senior right hander Jake Doller on the mound with a 2-2 record and a 1.95 ERA and 24 strikeouts.

The Shockers will send lefty Drew Palmer to the hill with an uneventful record and an ERA of 4.58 and 11 strikeouts as a Junior.

Second baseman Ross Kivett leads the Cats in hitting with a .388 batting average with 16 multi-hit games.

Wildcat Outfielder Jon Davis is coming off a big week being named the Big 12 Player of the Week for going 9-for-17, a home run, and eight RBIs in last week’s five game.

With a record of 23-10 and currently sitting at second in the Big 12 behind Oklahoma, K-State is gaining national attention receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches’ poll for the third straight week.
