    K-State Men Nearing Top 10

By KMAN Staff on January 21, 2013 K-State Sports

On the heels of an eight-game winning streak, the K-State men are now on the cusp of the top 10.  The Cats are up five spots in both polls, at #11 in the AP and #13 in the USA Today Coaches’ polls.  K-State won both games they play last week, 67-54 at TCU on Wednesday, and 69-60 at home on Saturday against Oklahoma.  The Cats are 15-2 and 4-0 in the Big 12 and will play #2/#3 Kansas in the Sunflower Showdown on Tuesday night in Manhattan at Bramlage Coliseum.  KU is the only other Big 12 team in both polls.  In the AP, Duke is #1, followed by Michigan, Kansas, Syracuse (tied for #3), and Louisville.  Duke also tops the coaches poll, and Kansas, Michigan, Syracuse and Louisville round out the top five.
