K-State’s Weber signs two, has two scholarships to fill

K-State coach Bruce Weber announced the signings of two high school seniors from Texas for the 2013 class on Wednesday.  Wichita Falls shooting guard Marcus Foster picked the Cats over a number of other scholarship offers including Cal, Creighton, Lehigh, Oklahoma and SMU.  Weber says the 6 foot 3 inch 195 pound Foster, is a quick, combo guard who has a great motor, and can score beyond the arc or taking it to the basket.

Houston small forward Wesley Iwanadu signed with K-State over Brown, Drake, Lehigh, Nebraska, Colorado and Richmond.  The 6 foot 6 inch Iwanadu has grown six inches within the last year and a half, and Weber says he’s maintained his ball handling skills, but also can rebound and block shots.

K-State still has two scholarships available for the class of 2013, with departing seniors Rodney McGruder, Martavious Irving & Jordan Henriquez, plus Jeremy Jones, who left the team before the season.
