The pool of candidates for the health administrator position has been reduced to two.
Riley County-Manhattan Health board president Brady Burton informed KMAN that the third candidate, Larry Franken, has withdrawn his name from the race. The board voted to expedite the decision-making process during their Wednesday meeting.
“We are planning to have a special meeting on October 3 to discuss the position,” Burton said. “We could possibly make a motion and vote on the new administrator.”
The final candidate, and current assistant Health Administrator, Suzanne Kufahl (Koo-fall), will start the interview process later this morning.
