Dignitaries from government, education, family, military business, media, and church shared a few moments of their time during an observance of the National Day of Prayer in Ogden. The Ogden Elementary School “Panthers” orchestra also participated.
Rev. Rachael Williams Glenn talked to the group about how praying for people really activates us to do really something, as opposed to just complaining about situations. She adds that’s where the power of prayer comes from.
The theme of the event was “One Voice United in Prayer.”
Organizer Don Sturdevant says the Ogden celebration has been going on for at least 10 years, but he says they decided to branch out into other areas and communities this year…
After messages from area dignitaries, balloons were released, with each individual tying a prayer request onto a balloon.
