Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 1700 block of Poyntz Ave. in Manhattan on January 5, 2022, around 7:37 a.m. Officers listed a 54-year-old female as the victim when it was reported her car sustained damage from bullets including flat tires. Officers responded to the report of a medical call in the 300 block of N. 5th St. in Manhattan on January 5, 2022, around 11:50 p.m. When officers arrived on scene, they found a 29-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the hand. It was determined the victim accidentally shot his gun while cleaning it in his home. He was transported to Via Christi for treatment of his hand injury.
