The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police.  Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further.  Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MANHATTAN, KAN. – 

Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 1800 block of College Heights Rd. in Manhattan on April 27, 2021, at approximately 7:04 a.m. Officers listed Farmhouse Fraternity as the victim when it was reported two 20-year-old male suspects damaged three fraternity house windows. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $900.00.

Officers filed a report for rape in Manhattan on April 27, 2021, at approximately 7:57 a.m. Officers listed a 16-year-old female as the victim and a 16-year-old male known to her as the suspect. Due to the nature of this crime, no further information will be released.

Officers filed a report for rape in Manhattan on April 27, 2021, at approximately 8:36 a.m. Officers listed a 16-year-old female as the victim and an 18-year-old male known to her as the suspect. Due to the nature of this crime, no further information will be released.

Officers filed a report for aggravated assault and battery in the 400 block of Humboldt St. in Manhattan on April 27, 2021, at approximately 6:41 p.m. Officers listed 18- and 38-year-old females as the victims when it was reported a 38-year-old female punched the 18-year-old victims and an unknown suspect threatened the 38-year-old female with a pipe. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.
