A new mural of late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is now complete in downtown Manhattan.
Two Manhattan women led the charge in the development of the new for the late justice, who passed away last month. The mural is a tribute to Ginsburg’s contributions to justice and gender equality and a celebration of Americans coming together to strengthen their communities.
Local artist Taylor Carr and Manhattan Alliance for Peace and Justice representative Jessica Kerr, are the two women behind the project. Kerr says with everything going on in the world right now, a mural of Ginsburg and what she stood for, seemed like something everyone could get behind.
The mural was completed Oct. 18.
It is located in downtown Manhattan in the alley opposite of The Chef and was made possible by donations from Manhattan residents, local artists, Manhattan Alliance for Peace and Justice, and INCITE MHK.
