Preliminary enrollment numbers were shared Wednesday with the Manhattan-Ogden School Board, showing an anticipated growth this fall of about 1.6%.
The report was shared at Wednesday’s board meeting, which was moved from the Robinson Education Center to the Manhattan High School commons area, due to a power outage, which delayed the meeting by a half hour.
About 97% of the district’s estimated 6,539 students have enrolled for the fall, with the first day count at just under 6,400. There are still about 140 students yet to have enrolled for the fall, including 118 at Manhattan High School, based on data tracked by the district’s Infinite Campus database.
“Our history has been, we’ve been between those numbers somewhere. It’s usually gravitated toward the (Infinite Campus) number,” said Superintendent Eric Reid.
As of Wednesday, Manhattan High had 1,929 students enrolled. It’s expected the actual enrollment will be 2,047 by the time official counts are taken in September.
Last year the official district enrollment figure was 6,432. The number of students enrolled per building as of Wednesday is as follows:
    Amanda Arnold – 422
    Bluemont – 214
    Frank V. Bergman – 342
    Lee – 308
    Marlatt – 422
    Northview – 391
    Ogden – 128
    Oliver Brown – 308
    Theodore Roosevelt – 250
    Woodrow Wilson – 191
    Anthony Middle School – 764
    Eisenhower Middle School – 729
    Manhattan High School – 1,929
Second grade had the highest number of students enrolled at 525 while 12th grade had the lowest enrollment of 420 students.
