Riley County Commissioners acknowledged concerns over proposed redistricting lines during this (Monday) morning’s news conference.
Commission Chair Karen McCulloh talked about criticism involving how contiguous the districts should be. She says they also have to keep state regulations in mind, which requires the Commission not shuffle around who represents what district.
McCulloh invited the public to present alternate ideas during an upcoming public hearing. That public hearing on the proposed redistricting options for Riley County Commissioners will be held on September 12th at 6 pm in the commission meeting room.
