There were five homes on display this weekend for the McCain Home Tour, including the Kansas State President’s house.
Among the homes on display were the homes of Mike and Karen Sheffield and Dave and Kristen Dreiling, along with the Prairiewood Retreat and Preserve.
Prairiewood Retreat and Preserve Director Jenne Andrews explains this is not a bed and breakfast style location but it’s a home to rent . Andrews adds the barn is being redone to accommodate weddings . There are walking trails, a pool and hot tub, along with many other amenities including a piano that plays by itself.
Genie Eming, a friend of Karen Sheffield and official docent of the tour, Mike and Karen Sheffield put a lot of time and effort into the house.
