Details on Bluemont water line break

By KMAN Staff on January 10, 2012 Local News

The water line break reported Tuesday morning at Bluemont Elementary School in Manhattan was related to construction. It was a valve issue on one of the water lines in the school.

According to USD 383 Communications coordinator Michele Jones, there isn’t water in all of the classrooms – some classrooms are damp while others are dry.

Manhattan/Ogden school officials met late Tuesday afternoon to talk about the issue, the clean-up and if there will be school Wednesday at Bluemont. Maintenance staffl continued to work throughout the evening to make sure that the school was ready for students Wednesday.

Most of the students had already been picked up by parents or guardians for the day by 12:30 Tuesday, only an hour after the word went out.
