    RCPD investigating suspected New Year’s homicide

    Manhattan has it’s first homicide, mere hours into the new year.

    According to a press release from the RCPD, officers were called to 1827 Fairlane Road Sunday morning  just before 4 a.m. after receiving reports of shots being fired.  Upon arrival at the scene Officers discovered that  Frederick Charles Beverly, 21, of Manhattan had been shot.  Beverly was transported to Mercy Health Center where he was pronounced dead.
