Possible options for the quarter-cent city sales tax that potentially will be on the November ballot was the main topic at last night’s Manhattan City Commission work session. One item that commanded debate was how to split the proceeds the tax brings in. The Commission provided direction to City Staff, and the sales tax matter will be discussed further before the August 31st deadline to submit it for the November ballot.
The Commission also discussed plans for a Metropolitan Planning Organization, and what sort of boundaries it should have.
