Just a month ago, personnel in the Riley County Motor Vehicles office had their hands full with working with a new system to process vehicle transactions.
Now, Riley County Treasurer Eileen King says the new system is in much better shape.
“In the last three weeks it has been great and stable,” King says. “There were a couple of times where it was slow, but we haven’t had issues like we did in June.”
King asks the public to be patient during their time visiting the office and to allow for extra time if needed due to some records not converting properly from the old system to the current system.
As a reminder, all motor vehicle registrants with the last name beginning in “J,K, or L” must renew their tags on Tuesday.
