Former MHS coach Martini back with Riley County volleyball

In 11 seasons, Lori Martini led the Manhattan High volleyball team to nine state tournaments including the 2003 6A crown.  She stepped down following the 2010 campaign, and coached club volleyball in the meantime, but is now back on the sideline at Riley County.  Martini coached the Falcons for four years before coming to MHS, including two seasons as head coach.  She says she’s excited to be at Riley County, because the high school season has a few advantages over club ball.  That includes being able to practice on a consistent basis, so the team can work on areas it needs to improve.

Martini and the Riley County volleyball team will open the season on Tuesday, August 28th with a quad at Wabaunsee.  The Falcons also will face Chapman and Holton in Alma.
