    Two Vehicle Accident Injures Three

    Update:

    New information has been released regarding an accident that occurred Saturday evening. More details were released today (Monday) on a two vehicle accident that was first reported by KMAN Saturday night.

    Riley County Police told reporters that around 6:25 P.m. Saturday, a 2011 Toyota Prius driven by  Ginger Reeves (75)of Ogden, failed to yield at a left turn and cut in front of a 2001 Ford F250 driven by Michael Schurte of Wamego, which was traveling south on Seth Child Road. Schurte then collided with Reeves.

    Schurte was unharmed, but Reeves and her three passengers were all injured and required transport to Mercy Regional Health Center. Reeves reported back and hip pain. The front seat passenger, Frank Thompson (16) sustained minor airbag injuries,  Ashley Laclaire (15), who was seated in the back passenger seat, suffered minor head injuries, and Daniella Thompson (52), who was seated in the rear drivers seat, had to be extracted from the vehicle and suffered disabling injuries to her hip and leg.

    Reeves was cited for failure to yield a left turn.

    A two vehicle accident at Seth Child and Southwind injured three people Saturday evening. Names are not yet available, but Riley County Police indicate two people had to be extracted from a vehicle, and all three victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment.  Two people had leg injuries, with one of the two also suffering a hip injury. The third individual had a possible head injury.

    The accident was reported shortly before 6:30 Saturday evening and partially blocked traffic on Seth Child for close to an hour.
