    Possible Parole for Two Riley County Convicts

    A couple of Kansas inmates with local convictions are up for possible parole the next few months.Danny Lee Sprecker, 63, and  Roderick Fields, 53,  face several public comment sessions next month.Sprecker was convicted of second degree murder and rape in Riley county, with the murder case occurring in 1973 and rape case occurring in late 1968, with sentencing in 1969. Fields was convicted and has been serving time on a 1984 rape case in Riley county, as well as a 1993 aggravated robbery case in Sedgwick county.

    Public comment sessions will be held January 16th in Wichita’s Finney state office building, January 25th in Topeka’s Landon State office building, and the 28th at Kansas city’s City Hall. Letters may also be sent to the department of corrections in Topeka.

    The actual parole hearing will be in February, with the earliest release in March of next year.
