In response to the predicted severe winter weather conditions for this evening and tomorrow, City Hall and all City of Manhattan facilities will be closed to the public on Thursday, February 21, 2013. A small number of necessary personnel will report to City Hall to answer phone calls from the public and direct operating crews. Snow and ice removal crews have already begun preparations for the predicted snow and will continue preventative and clean-up duties throughout the storm for primary and secondary routes. At this time, the City plans to resume normal operations on Friday, February 22, 2013.

cityofmhk.com, has tools for citizens including the 2012/2013 Snow Routes Map, the Traffic Emergency Snow Routes Map, a Winter Energy Emergency Preparedness Brochure, an Interactive Road Conditions Map, and the City Snow and Ice Removal Ordinance.

Stay tuned to 1350 KMAN for up to the minute severe weather coverage.
