    MHS Substate Pairings Set

    The Manhattan High School Boys and Girls Basketball teams learned Saturday morning who their opponents will be in the first round of the upcoming Class 6A Substate Basketball Tournament. The MHS Boys are the #4 seed and will host #5 seed Washburn Rural on Wednesday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m. and would play in the road in the Substate Final on Friday, March 1 if they win.

    The MHS Girls are the #3 seed and will host #6 seed Derby on Thursday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m. and would also play on the road in the Substate Final on Saturday, March 2 if they win. Below are the complete Substate Pairings:

    Girls:
    #1 Washburn Rural vs. Wichita Southeast
    #2 Wichita Heights vs. Junction City
    #3 Manhattan vs. Derby, Thursday February 28 at 7 p.m.
    #4 Topeka High vs. Wichita East

    Boys:
    #1 Derby vs. #8 Topeka High
    #2 Wichita East vs. #7 Junction City
    #3 Wichita Heights vs. Wichita Southeast
    #4 Manhattan vs. #5 Washburn Rural, Wednesday, February 27 at 7 p.m.
