    Police Blotter 5 February 2013

    A local hardware store has reported the theft of a large piece of equipment to the Riley County Police Department.

    According to police the Waters True Value store on Poyntz avenue is reporting  a large metal frame for a greenhouse missing from their back lot.  Police say the theft allegedly occurred sometime between the 1 October, 2012 and 31 January , 2013.

    Police say the estimated loss is around $1,000, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

    Riley County Police say a suspect has severely damaged a room at a local hotel.

    The Super 8 hotel located on the 200 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard has reported to police that sometime on the February 3, 2013 a suspect caused severe damage to a desk, refrigerator, lamp, and other miscellaneous  items in the room.

    Police are investigating the incident, and say the estimated total loss is around $1,000.
