Wamego’s Waters True Value Hardware celebrates their Grand Reopening recently. The Waters purchased the former Lichtenhan Hardware store in December of 2013. Because of this purchase, the Waters True Value store in east Manhattan closed, moving the inventory to Wamego. The Wamego True Value has undergone major resetting, and new signage changes in these past months. According to President Jim Waters, they plan to carry on the tradition of the Lichtenhan Family, which had been in business in the area since 1907.
The official Grand Opening Event began with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony. In addition, True Value’s Regional Manager, Steve Brookhart presented President Jim Waters, Vice President Scott Waters, and Wamego’s Store Manager Brenda Schleif with a plaque commemorating the store’s opening. Wamego’s Waters True Value is the 7th store in Kansas.
