OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma oil-and-gas regulators are ordering operators of 245 injection wells in the state to reduce the amount of wastewater injected underground as the agency grapples with a spike in earthquakes that have also been felt far into Kansas.
The Oklahoma Corporation Commission released a plan Tuesday covering more than 5,200 square miles.
It calls for a reduction of more than 500,000 barrels of wastewater each day.
