    Officers with the Riley County Police Department filed a report for aggravated battery Saturday at about 8:40 PM for an incident that occurred between 7:00 PM and 8:40 PM in the 2200 block of College Avenue. Police responded to the emergency room of Via Christi Hospital to take a report and begin an investigation into a gunshot wound.
    Officers listed Jaronne White, 26, of Kansas City, Kansas as the victim after being shot in the leg by an unknown person while at a house party. Police continue to investigate the matter and at the time of this report no further information was available to released. Law enforcement officials do not believe the surrounding community is at risk of increased danger as a result of this incident.

    An injury accident was reported Sunday afternoon at three near the intersection of Ella Lane and Seaton Road in Manhattan. Police found an unknown vehicle was stopped in the 3100 block of Ella Lane and struck Victoria Zane, 20, of Manhattan as she was standing next to the driver’s side when it accelerated and continued down Seaton Road.

    Zane was transported to Via Christi Hospital for complaint of pain. Officers continue to investigate this matter and ask that anyone with information contact the Riley County Police Department.

    A 20 year old Holton man faces several charges following a Saturday morning arrest. Philip Hawley was taken into custody while near the intersection of College Avenue and College Heights Road in Manhattan at approximately 2:45 AM. Charges include distribution of opiates, opium, narcotics, or other certain stimulants, distribution of a hallucinogenic or marijuana, possession and minor related counts.

    Hawley was given a total bond of $11,000. He was arrested along with Alexander Manrique, 20, of Overland Park as a result of a traffic stop. Manrique was arrested on similar charges and given a bond of $10,000.

    As earlier reported by KMAN Courtney Vieyra, 30, of Junction City was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department Saturday at approximately 11:30 PM. Vieyra was arrested on a warrant for the offense of failure to appear with an original offense of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

    Vieyra was given a bond of $10,000.

    Officers with the Riley County Police Department arrested Jordan Hodges, 24, of St. George the end of last week according to Monday’s activity report. Hodges was taken into custody at approximately 4:05 PM Friday while at the Riley County Police Department.

    Hodges was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear with an original offense of having no driver’s license. He was given “no bond.”

    A Chapman woman was arrested while in the 1000 block of Leavenworth Street in Manhattan late Sunday morning.  Nichole Holt, 21, was arrested on the offense of failure to appear with an original offense of burglary to a vehicle. She was given “no bond.”
