    The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police. Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law and in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further. Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    MANHATTAN, KAN. – 

    Officers filed a report for criminal discharge of a firearm and criminal damage to property in the 1300 block of Colorado St. in Manhattan on October 28, 2022, around 8:15 p.m. It was reported an unknown suspect shot multiple rounds into a house that 11- and 41-year-old females and a 22-year-old male were inside. No injuries were reported. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 100 block of Manhattan Town Center in Manhattan on October 28, 2022, around 8:45 p.m. A 55-year-old female was listed as the victim when it was reported her car’s windshield smashed. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $500. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 700 block of Bertrand St. in Manhattan on October 29, 2022, around 9:30 a.m. A 45-year-old male was listed as the victim when it was reported his 5×10 foot flatbed trailer was stolen. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,500. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for battery in the 1100 block of Moro St. in Aggieville, Manhattan on October 29, 2022, around 10:15 p.m. 23- and 32-year-old males were listed as the suspects and victims when it was reported they were in a fight with each other that resulted in the 32-year-old male being transported to Via Christi by EMS after being found unconscious by officers in front of Tubby’s Bar. No charges were filed by the victim transported to the hospital.

    Officers filed a report for aggravated battery in the 1100 block of Moro St. in Aggieville, Manhattan on October 30, 2022, around 1:30 a.m. A 19-year-old male was listed as the victim when it was reported another 19-year-old male punched him in the face at Tubby’s Bar resulting in a broken nose and facial fractures requiring hospitalization.

    Officers filed a report for burglary in the 200 block of N. 4th St. in Manhattan on October 30, 2022, around 1:45 p.m. A 21-year-old male was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole a suitcase, an LG television, an Xbox One controller, a Dell computer, beer, and miscellaneous food items from his apartment. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,170. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for identity theft and theft in the 600 block of 3rd Pl. in Manhattan on October 30, 2022, around 2:30 p.m. HyVee and a 21-year-old male were listed as the victims when it was reported a 22-year-old male stole approximately $5,500 cash.
