    Officers filed a report for burglary and criminal damage to property in the 4200 block of Spook Rock Way in Manhattan on August 4, 2023, around 10:45 a.m. after a 27-year-old man reported his car was broken into through the passenger side window causing approximately $750 worth of damage. Nothing was reported stolen.  Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for burglary in the 700 block of Fremont St. in Manhattan on August 4, 2023, around 11:45 a.m. after a 23-year-old man reported his truck was broken into and his Smith and Wesson MP Shield 9mm handgun and wallet were stolen from inside. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $450. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 1900 block of Platt St. in Manhattan on August 4, 2023, around 4:45 p.m. after a 20-year-old man reported his green 2021 Znen RaceStar moped was stolen. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,400. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for aggravated battery near the intersection of N. 8th St. and Poyntz Ave. in Manhattan on August 4, 2023, around 10:30 p.m. after responding to the report of an overturned truck. It was reported the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado driven by James Smith, 42, of Manhattan was chasing a car northbound on 8th St. before running a stop sign and hitting a 2003 Dodge Ram driven by Logan Goetzinger, 20, of Manhattan that was eastbound on Poyntz Ave., causing the Silverado to flip on its roof. No significant injuries were reported. This crash remains under investigation.

    Donald Juarez, 39, of Manhattan was arrested on August 5, 2023, around 12:00 a.m. for two counts each of stalking and violation of a protection order. Juarez was issued a total bond of $8,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

    Wavy Hahn, 45, of Portville, N.Y. was arrested on August 5, 2023, around 5:45 a.m. after officers conducted a traffic stop on his car and he was found to have a suspended driver’s license and in possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. Hahn was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of meth, and driving while suspended. Hahn remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $10,000.

    Gary Papke, 50, was arrested on August 7, 2023, around 4:00 a.m. on his Geary County District Court warrant for probation violation. Papke remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $15,000.
