Javon Burse, 26, of Manhattan was arrested on September 1, 2023, at approximately 10:45 a.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant and a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant, both for failure to appear. Burse was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for theft in the 300 of Tuttle Creek Blvd. in Manhattan on September 1, 2023, at approximately 1:45 p.m. Best Buy was listed as the victim when it was reported two unknown suspects stole an Apple iPad Pro and an iPad case on August 26, 2023. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,200. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for theft by deception and unlawful computer acts in the 1200 block of Moro St. in Manhattan on September 1, 2023, at approximately 3:30 p.m. A 21-year-old male was listed as the victim when he reported an unknown male suspect used the victim’s Venmo account to transfer money to himself. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $4,100. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for burglary in the 500 block of Moro St. in Manhattan on September 2, 2023, at approximately 2:45 p.m. A 21-year-old female was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole a white backpack, grey Apple Macbook, gray and white Apple iPad Pro, black Beats headphones, and white Apple earbuds from her vehicle. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,500. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Denaal Thompson, 39, of Manhattan was arrested on September 2, 2023, at approximately 6:00 p.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear.  Thompson was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

Jaden Whiting, 20, of Ogden was arrested on September 3, 2023, at approximately 3:15 a.m. for criminal threat, battery, disorderly conduct, and criminal damage to property. A 36-year-old female and a 64-year-old male were listed as the victims when it was reported Whiting battered the male breaking his glasses, and threatened the female. The estimated total loss associated with the broken glasses is $200. Whiting was issued a total bond of $6,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for burglary and criminal damage to property in the 1100 block of Claflin Rd. in Manhattan on September 3, 2023, at approximately 2:00 p.m. Two 21-year-old females, a 22-year-old female, and a 22-year-old male were listed as the victims when it was reported a storage unit was broken into and military and fishing equipment were stolen from inside. The total estimated loss is approximately $6,900. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 1300 block of N. 11th St. in Manhattan on September 4, 2023, at approximately 10:15 a.m. A 49-year-old female was listed as the victim when she reported two of her vehicles were scratched. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,000. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for theft in the 200 block of Ogden on September 4, 2023, at approximately 12:15 p.m. A 44-year-old female was listed as the victim when she reported a 44-year-old male suspect stole a boom box, bicycle, and money from her. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $600.

Officers filed a report for theft of lost property in the 2000 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. in Manhattan on September 4, 2023, at approximately 7:30 p.m. A 20-year-old male was listed as the victim when it was reported that $800 cash was stolen from his wallet that he dropped in a ditch.
