The Manhattan City Commission met Tuesday to discuss the sale of the Manhattan Town Center to Rockstep Capital, LLC.
It’s the fifth time the mall has been for sale since 2015. Rockstep President Andy Weiner spoke about why he thinks the area is great for future development.
Commissioners unanimously approved the sale. John Matta says he was pleased that the developers were using an alternative use model.
Deputy City Manager Jason Hilgers says that in the deal between current ownership of the mall and Rockstep, 10% of revenues will go back to the city while the other 90% will go to the mall and its owners.
