    Officers filed a report for aggravated battery in the 900 block of Leavenworth Street in Manhattan on February 16, 2024, around 12:05 AM. A 21-year-old man was listed as the victim when he reported struck in the head with a baseball bat by an unknown male subject. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Brian Droge, 43, of Manhattan, was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on February 15, 2024, around 10:37 AM. Droge was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. The original charges were for burglary and theft of property or services. Droge was issued a total bond of $16,000 and was confined at the time of this report.

    Jarod Petty, 18, of Manhattan, was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on February 15, 2024, around 4:18 PM. Petty was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear x 2 and probation violation. The original charges were for burglary; vehicle to commit felony, theft or sexually motivated crime x 2,  theft of property or services x 2, attempted burglary vehicle to commit felony, and criminal trespass. Petty was issued a total bond of $25,000 and was confined at the time of this report.
