Officers filed a report of fraud in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on April 4, 2024, at approximately 3:32 PM.  Officers listed a 32-year-old male as the victim when it was reported someone used his social security number for tax purposes which resulted in a fraudulent deficit to the State of Kansas of $8,468.96 in taxes.

Officers filed a report of theft in the 300 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd on April 4, 2024, at approximately 6:45 PM.  Officers listed Best Buy as the victim when it was reported an unknown male left the store with a Samsung Galaxy Book 3 without paying. Total loss associated with this report is $1,349.  Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers.  Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Kory Riley, 40, of Independence, Missouri, was arrested in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on April 4, 2024, at approximately 3:19 PM. Riley was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear.  The original charge in this case was for aggravated violation of the Kansas Offender Registration Act. Bond is set at $20,000 in this matter. Riley was confined at the time of this report.

Ladaisha Ransom, 20, of Manhattan was arrested in the 3100 block of Anderson Ave. on April 4, 2024, at approximately 5:03 PM. Ransom was arrested on a probable cause arrest for distribution of opiates< 10 units, use of a communication facility in the commission of a felon drug violation, and distribution of opiates dosage 10<100 units. Total bond is this matter is set at $15,000. Ransom was not confined at the time of this report.

Veron Davis, 24, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 1000 block of 3rd Street on April 4, 2024, at approximately 7:28 PM. Davis was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for distribution of a controlled substance, aggravated battery, and use of a communication facility in the commission of a felon drug violation. Total bond is this matter is set at $60,000. Davis was confined at the time of this report.
