The intersection of Fourth and Houston streets closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Thursday.
The closure is an expansion of the work in the 300 block of Houston Street, which has been shut down between Third and Fourth streets for months. City officials on Wednesday said they expect the project to continue through the winter.
