No. 2 seed Manhattan High football secured its date with Derby in the sub-state championship after downing No. 3 Wichita Northwest, 49-28, in 6A sectionals on Friday night.

The Indians (11-0) have five wins over Wichita Northwest in the last three years. The Grizzlies, who dropped to 9-2, saw their only two losses come in Manhattan this season.
