    State volleyball results, Rock Creek takes 2nd in 4A

    Rock Creek

    In Hutchinson, the 2-seed Rock Creek Mustangs needed three sets to reach the state championship game. Taking down Topeka-Hayden in the semifinals 25-23, 21-25, 25-20. Reaching the title game, the Mustangs would fall in straight sets to Bishop Miege 25-22 and 25-18. Rock Creek finishes its season with a 38-5 record and a 2nd place finish at state.

    Manhattan

    The Manhattan High Indians, the 8-seed at 6A state, reached the state tournament in Salina playing its best volleyball. Winning eight of its last nine matches. That continued at state as the Indians was able to reach the semifinals. In the semis, the Indians would fall to Mill Valley in straight sets Saturday 25-13 and 25-12. Manhattan would finish in 4th place at 6A state after a straight sets loss in the 3rd place game to Olathe West 25-12 and 25-22. Manhattan finishes its season with a record of 21-19.

    Hanover

    Hanover dominated its way to a 1A DII state championship in Emporia. Never losing a set in all five matches. In the semifinals, Hanover defeated Ingalls 25-10 and 25-23. In the title game, the Wildcats defeated Lebo in straight sets 25-20 and 25-17. Hanover finished its season with a 42-1 record.

    Valley Heights

    The Mustangs fell just shy of a state championship at 2A state in Dodge City, Reaching the semifinals, Valley Heights beat Inman in straight sets 26-24 and 25-21. In the championship match, it was Maranatha Academy that took home the title in straight sets over the Mustangs 25-23 and 25-19. Valley Heights finished its season 32-11.
