Officers filed a report for forgery, attempted unlawful obtaining a prescription drug and identity theft in the 500 block of 3rd Pl in Manhattan on April 1, 2025, at approximately 3:26 p.m. A 30-year-old woman and a 50-year-old woman were listed as the victims when it was reported a 35-year-old woman used the victim’s information to attempt to obtain a prescription drug. Marijke Torres, 35, of Manhattan was arrested for attempted unlawful obtaining a prescription drug, forgery and 3 counts of identity theft. Torres was issued a total bond of $14,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 1000 block of Cassidy Dr. in Manhattan on April 1, 2025 at approximately 5:48 p.m. A 36-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect damaged the tires on her vehicle. David Combs, 57, of Manhattan was arrested on April 1, 2025, at approximately 8:28 a.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated assault; use of a deadly weapon, stalking and reckless driving. Combs remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $8,000.
Karen Gomez Parra, 28, of Manhattan was arrested on April 1, 2025, at approximately 4:38 p.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated battery and battery. Gomez Parra was issued a total bond of $20,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.
