Two Manhattan residents were arrested Wednesday in connection with a reported robbery and battery involving a juvenile victim, according to the Riley County Police Department.
Officers filed a report at approximately 9:16 p.m. May 19th in the 1000 block of Colorado Street for aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and contributing to child misconduct. A 14-year-old boy was listed as the victim after it was reported that five known suspects battered him and stole multiple items, including a cellphone.
Whitney Terrell Hamilton, 27, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 1:23 p.m. May 20 near Ewing Road and Brockman Street on charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and contributing to child misconduct. Hamilton was issued a total bond of $50,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail.
Tommie Earl Baggett, 18, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 2:08 p.m. near the same intersection on charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and contributing to child misconduct.
Baggett was issued a total bond of $40,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
