    A woman receives minor injuries after a strong armed robbery Thursday night.

    Victoria Johnson, 38, a Manhattan resident, was walking down the 1000 block of Laramie at about 7:45 Thursday night when a male came running up beside her, grabbed her purse, pushed her to the ground and ran off.

    The suspect stole Johnson’s purse, wallet and miscellaneous contents including cash and keys.  The total loss was $210.

    The suspect is described as a male of unknown race wearing a dark blue hoodie, dark pants and white shoes.

    Earlier this week, an attempted burglary was reported.

    Charles Gillum, 58, a Manhattan resident, reported that early Friday morning at about 1:20 am, when he wasn’t home, someone tried to break into his residence.

    Damage was caused to windows, a door and screen, but no entry was gained into the house.

    The total loss totaled $1,000.

    Earlier in August, a burglary occurred at the 500 block of Bertrand .

    Friday, Ryan Matthew Savener, 31, of Manhattan, was arrested in connection with the burglary.

    His bond was set at $6,000 dollars.
