    RCPD Drug Bust

    A trio of suspects were swept up in a Riley County Police  operation spanning Wednesday and Thursday as a result of an investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine, cocaine, and other controlled substances .   All suspects were arrested near the 2100 block of Mike’s Place in Manhattan, and the 200 block on Riley Avenue in Ogden.

    According to police report 43-year-old Eric Lipp was arrested for drug possession with intent to distribute, illegal use of a firearm, and interference with law enforcement and several other charges related to the investigation.  Lipp is being held on a $70,000 bond.

    47-year-old Anita Albano was arrested for possession of drugs with the intent to distribute, and unlawful use of a telecommunications device.  Albano is being held with a $10,000 bond.

    Finally 45-year-old Catherine Hopkins was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.  Hopkins is being held with a $5,000 bond.

    As a result of the investigation police seized a total of 53.7 grams of methamphetamine, 4.8 grams of cocaine, 37 methamphetamine hydro-chloride pills, $1,716.23 in US Currency, and a handgun.  The previously mentioned seized drugs have a street value of approximately $6,740.
