MANHATTAN — With the start of spring just over six weeks away, the Manhattan Parks and Recreation Department is busy working to fill a number of part-time seasonal positions.
Community Relations Officer Melissa Kirkwood says the department is one of the largest employers within the city during the spring and summer time.

A variety of options exists and Kirkwood says there are opportunities for just about any age.

Kirkwood says recruiting is underway now, with some jobs starting as early as March and April. One position being sought is for Little Apple Day Camp assistant group leader. Arts & Humanities Coordinator Linsdey Sparlin says they’ve expanded this year’s program to include 14-17 year olds for a counselor in training program.
