The purchase is the latest acquisition for Cat Cans which in 2012 purchased AAA Septic out of Ogden. The purchase allows Cat Cans to be the leading provider in the region for Portable Restroom Rental, Car Wash/Mud Pit Pumping, Food/Grease Trap Pumping, Septic Tank Pumping Installation and Repair. With the purchase, Cat Cans service area now includes Manhattan, Wamego, Junction City, Riley, Clay Center, Chapman, Abilene, Salina and other communities in Northeast Kansas.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Mark Buehrle pitched seven strong innings, Edwin Encarnacion hit a two-run homer and the Toronto Blue Jays beat Kansas City 6-2 Saturday to snap the Royals’ six-game winning streak. Buehrle (10-5) limited the Royals to two runs and five hits while improving to 4-0 with a 1.24 ERA in his past four starts against them. Encarnacion’s 18th home run in the fourth inning off Chris Young ended the Blue Jays’ 27-inning scoring drought. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP)– Danny Duffy’s fastball was too much for the Toronto Blue Jays’ power hitters. Duffy pitched six sharp innings to pick up his first victory in more than two months as the Kansas City Royals beat the Jays 3-0 Friday night. Duffy (3-4) shut down a Blue Jays offense which leads the majors with 470 runs. A Manhattan man is behind bars for four outstanding warrants. Brian Keith Flanary, 36,  was arrested Friday in Junction City in the 800 block of South Washington Street. Flanary had one outstanding warrant for failing to appear at the Junction City Municipal court and one outstanding warrant for failing to appear at Geary County District Court. Flanary also had an outstanding warrant out of Saline County and Leavenworth.
