The Wamego City Commission went through reorganization, also known as Sine Die at Tuesday’s meeting. City Clerk Shanda Jahnke administered the Oath of Office to newly re-elected Commissioner Bob Morse. Vic Enns is the new Mayor and Cliff Baughman is the Mayor Pro-Tem. As Mayor, Enns presided over the meeting. Carl Riblet was appointed to Planning Commission Board. Leo Tower and Deb Kiker were both re-appointed to serve on the Housing Authority Board for another year. The Manhattan City Commission unanimously approved the fifth and final Annual Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant, a federal entitlement program which benefits those earning a low to moderate income. This year, Manhattan was allocated just over $618 thousand; and according to Grant Administrator, Christina L’Ecuyer, a portion of that money will be used for neighborhood infrastructure improvements. “11th Street and Freemont is an intersection that has quite a few traffic incidents, so that one has been targeted for a stop light,” L’Ecuyer said. Hunger U is an internationally-known effort that strives to end hunger on a local level by raising awareness at college campuses across the nation. Monday and Tuesday, Hunger U crew members set up shop in Bosco Plaza, just outside the K-State Union. The Kansas City man charged in connection with a first degree murder case, where  John Burroughs (68) was found dead in his residence, appeared in Riley County District Court via webcam Tuesday afternoon. This incident took place in September of last year.  Prosecutors say Burroughs was stabbed to death by another man, after Anthony Nichols (37) had shot Burroughs in the head.  The two other people charged in the incident were James McKenith (33) and Christina Love (49), who both appeared in court Monday. Two individuals were injured after an accident on Tuttle Creek Terrace. The accident took place at 7:30 Tuesday morning, when Ryan Rouston (32), of Manhattan, was driving his 2002 Jeep Liberty southbound on Tuttle Terrace.  Megan Hartford (32), also of Manhattan, was driving her 2003 Volkswagon Golf west bound on U24. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Rouston failed to stop at a stop sign, which caused the vehicles to collide. Rouston’s vehicle rolled onto its side in the east bound lane, and Hartford’s vehicle went into the south ditch. Both Rouston and Hartford sustained injuries and were taken to Mercy…
