A Junction City man who recently entered a plea to attempted computer crime and conspiracy to commit theft has had his probation revoked. Phillip Neu was in Geary County District Court Monday and is now in the custody of the Department of Corrections for the probation violation. Neu’s most recent case involved a gift card scheme with the Dillon’s in Junction City listed as a victim, with $40, 000 involved. His sentencing is set for April 28th. Detectives with the Riley County Police Department, along with agents from the Department of Corrections State Parole Office, conducted an investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs in the Riley County area on Tuesday. Police issued a press release Wednesday morning that shared details about three coinciding arrests. The drug investigation led to a search of a residence at 230 N. Walnut in Ogden. Terrance Estes (48) of Manhattan, and Amanda Bluthardt (34) of Ogden, were both arrested for drug related offenses. The winter of 2014 has created problems for Wamego school facilities. At Monday’s USD 320 Board of Education meeting, Grounds and Transportation Director Larry Hannan took the floor by saying ”Here I come talking about money.” . According to Hannan, after the snow storms, the schools reported numerous roof leaks, and presented a proposal for a roof condition inspection for all USD 320 property from Benchmark Engineers for consideration.
