The first was for the University Park/Lakeside Heights utilities extension project. WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — A small plane has crashed at Wichita’s Mid-Continent Airport, sending up huge plumes of black smoke that can be seen for miles around the city. According to the Associated Press a fire chief is indicating at least two people are dead inside the Kansas airport building where the small plane crashed. Authorities say the total death toll is now four. Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Elizabeth Cory says a small Beechcraft model plane crashed just before 10 a.m. Thursday. Police made this arrest as part of ongoing investigations into the illegal sale and distribution of drugs in the Manhattan and Riley County area.
