He led the Birmingham Stallions to a shut out victory over the San Antonio Brahmas 25-0 to claim their third consecutive championship. Martinez finished the game 13/23 passing, with a passing touchdown. He also ran for 52 yards and scored another two touchdowns. This marks Martinez’ second award of the UFL season after being named the regular season MVP, where he led the league in rushing with 528 yards.

Martinez led the league in rushing with 528 yards through the regular season. He was No. 3 in passing with 1,749 yards and tied for second in passing touchdowns with 15. Wamego, KS – After leading Wamego softball to its second-straight 4A state championship, right-handed pitcher Peyton Hardenburger was the named the Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year. Announced in a press release Friday morning by Gatorade. Hardenburger led the Red Raiders to a 23-2 overall record, NCKL championship, regional championship and a 4A state championship last month in Salina. In the three-game state tournament run, she tossed 31 innings pitched, with 63 strikeouts and back-to-back no-hitters.
