K-State men’s basketball has landed another guard out of the transfer portal. Cal State Fullerton’s 6’4″ guard Max Jones committed to K-State on Thursday. Jones also received interest from New Mexico, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Florida Atlantic and Loyola Chicago after entering the portal on March 21. Jones snuck into Manhattan for a midweek visit and made his commitment on the heels of it. In two seasons at Fullerton, Jones has averaged 13.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 56 games. The National Wrestling Coaches Association has named Manhattan High’s Shawn Bammes the Kansas High School coach of the year.
