NBAF Project Takes A Step Forward

A contract for 40 million dollars toward utility work at the National Bio and Agro defense facility to be built in Manhattan reportedly has come through.

U-S Senator Jerry Moran of Manhattan made that announcement Tuesday, indicating the Senate Appropriations committee he serves on had just received news of the contract award.

There had been a bit of a hold-up, with the committee appropriating the funding, but Homeland Security taking its time giving its official okay.

It’s been more than four years since Manhattan was selected as the site for the facility, to be located on the north side of Kansas State’s campus.
