Powercat Sports Grill/KMAN Student Athlete of the Week

    0
By Mitch Fortner on May 2, 2019 Manhattan High School, Sports

Manhattan High’s Clara Mayfield made history last week at the Seaman Relays. Mayfield broke the MHS school record in the 1600 meter run by posting a time of 4 minutes and 58 seconds. It’s the third school record broken this season by Mayfield who also did it in the 3200 meters and the distance medley relay. Her 1600 and 3200 meter times are each top 20 girls times in Kansas High School history. Mayfield is a three time state placer in track and finished 3rd at the state cross country meet this year. She will run collegiately at Columbia University. Congratulations to Clara Mayfield of Manhattan High School, the Powercat Sports Grill/KMAN “Student Athlete of the Week!”
